An Evening With...

Normally on a Thursday night we would be plonked on the couch watching Gogglebox, but this week we had the pleasure of meeting former Vogue editor Kirstie Clements. We were lucky to receive an invite from the wonderful ladies at Business Chicks, if you haven't heard of this amazing organisation check out their website ASAP!

The Park (Melbourne) is such a stunning venue! With glamorous chandeliers cascading from the ceiling, candles flickering on window sills and champagne flowing endlessly. Remaining ladylike however did become a challenge - temptation was trying not to scoff down several delightful hors d'oeuvres, including mini salmon bagels accompanied with strawberries and cream for desert. In the end we just couldn't help ourselves.

The scrumptious nibbles and bubbles couldn't take away from the main women herself, Kirstie Clements, who rocked the stage in a matching Scanlan Theodore ensemble. Talking all the 'Devil Wears Prada' moments, the ups and downs of fashion, don't even get us started on the "models eating tissues" scenario! Her hard work and determination continues, 27 years at Vogue is just the start of her impressive career. We are truly in awe, Ms Clements is an inspiration to women everywhere.

Don't be afraid to "back yourself" and "make your own magic" - straight from Kirstie herself. We managed to grab a couple of copies of her latest book Impressive: How to have a stylish career which is a must have page turner for 2016! Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon read with a cup of tea snuggled on the couch.
